MGO (methylglyoxal) is the compound responsible for Manuka honey's unique antibacterial properties. The higher the MGO number, the more potent the honey. Golden Reserve is independently verified at 512+ MGO, placing it in the premium therapeutic category. Most supermarket "Manuka" contains far less.
